Both jaws are semi-circular and have a flat inner surface that narrows from the hinge to the ends; they are ideal for opening and closing rings, forming corner bends, etc. The fine finish reduces the risk of damaging delicate parts.

These pliers are made with a pivot connection where one side of the connection overlaps the other side, and a screw is inserted on both sides. This screw allows for adjusting the hinge as needed.

The leaf spring consists of flat, hardened metal strips attached inside both tool handles, positioned to contact and hold the handles apart (and the jaws open) until they are compressed, providing a quick and strong rebound that increases productivity.

Ergonomic handles provide a comfortable grip, allowing for longer working periods and reducing hand fatigue. Durston chain rings are made from polyester handles for greater comfort.
