These cutters are made with a hinge connection where one side overlaps the other side, both sides are secured with a screw. This screw allows for the adjustment of the hinge as needed.
The double leaf spring consists of flat, tempered metal strips that are attached inside the handles of both tools, positioned so that they contact each other and keep the handles apart (and the jaws open) until they are compressed, providing a quick and strong rebound that increases productivity.
