Tombac is a material often used in the jewellery industry. Compared to conventional tombac, tombac for enameling has a higher copper content, which makes the material softer and allows for better adhesion of the enamel to the part. The softer material prevents the enamel from peeling and cracking while maintaining a beautifully glossy surface. Compared to pure copper, the advantage of tombac enamelling is that no flux enamel needs to be added to maintain the bright color of enamel.
